Mark Mancino
Director of Athletic Development

Mark Mancino is the Director of Athletic Development for Kinetic Advantage in Toronto, Canada and co-owner of Elite Physical Training Systems (EPTS); a professional development consultancy specializing in advanced educational systems and courses for exercise specialists. He has been involved in the fitness industry for over 10 years and continues to physically prepare athletes from a variety of different disciplines while maintaining his work with the general population and special needs clients.

Mark taught at the college level for several years prior to launching Kinetic Advantage and EPTS International. He now regularly presents seminars and courses internationally and has written fitness and performance related articles for several industry newsletters and publications across the globe.

Janice Ferreira
Health and Exercise Specialist/KA Events Coordinator

Having lead an active lifestyle all her life, Janice learned to value health and performance. Her passion drove her to seek opportunities in the fitness and coaching industry. She committed herself to a formal education and received her Fitness and Lifestyles Management diploma from George Brown College in 2001. Upon graduating Janice launched Peak Performance and Training; her own personal coaching company. Through hard work and perseverance, she quickly established a dedicated following.

After several years of studying and training under Mark Mancino’s tutelage, Janice recently joined the KA team. Janice is committed to continuing her education and seeking knowledge from multiple sources in an effort to maintain the high quality standard of service KA is renowned for. She recognizes the value in ongoing education and appreciates all the input she has received from her advisers over the years. “I owe much of my present accomplishments to countless mentors who have been incredibly generous with their time. It is with all of you I celebrate my achievements; past, present and future!”

Mark,

Just over two years ago I had both the honour and privilege of studying under you, I suppose that is when the journey began. At the time I had many questions, and not only did you have the answers, you exhibited incredible patience as I aspired to apply all that you had to teach. Never in my life had I met a fitness professional with so much passion, and such a diversity of interests. What amazed me the most was not your desire to excel, rather it was your unselfishness, as you continued to share with others all that you experienced along the way!

As you advanced in your career I observed your talents as a means to improve my own career and fitness and that journey is never ending. Areas where I felt you had the greatest impact were in the area of Sports Performance. You dared to push the envelope, test the boundaries, and seek results in the most effective, yet safe means for your clientele. The results exceeded anything I could have possibly envisioned! You have succeeded in explaining the intricacies of periodization for high performance and its’ application to program design. You have demonstrated innovative plyometric training principles, successfully broken down compound lifting techniques, and continue to lead the field in flexibility and muscle tension release techniques!

The information you brought to the table could never be taught in a book. I am truly grateful for all you have brought to my career, assistance with overcoming the obstacles of an injury, and for the incredible journey! The single most valuable lesson:
